🔄 A working meeting was held at the Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute with representatives of China’s SANCHUAN company (https://www.sanchuanwatermeter.com/), which specializes in the production of modern water meters and intelligent water-accounting systems. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss prospects for cooperation in introducing high-precision measuring instruments for Uzbekistan’s water-supply systems, as well as the establishment of production facilities in the Andijan region.
⚡️ During the negotiations, SANCHUAN representatives were provided with detailed information about Uzbekistan’s current metrological infrastructure in the field of liquid and gas flow measurement — including the system of national standards, accredited laboratories, procedures for testing measuring instruments, and the ISO and OIML international standards applied in the country. Requirements and procedures for type approval of measuring instruments and their inclusion in the State Register were also explained, along with issues related to periodic verification and metrological supervision across the republic.
✅ Representatives of “O‘zsuvta’minot” JSC also took part in the meeting, outlining urgent tasks related to modernizing the water-accounting system, digitalizing processes, and improving the accuracy of commercial metering.
⚖️ At the end of the meeting, the Chinese delegation expressed support for the initiative to establish a modern metrological laboratory for liquid-flow measurement at the Andijan branch of the Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute. The parties also expressed mutual interest in continuing dialogue on future cooperation.
