✅ On 14 November this year, a bilateral meeting was held between the Uzbekistan Technical Regulation Agency and the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology of the Russian Federation (Rosstandart).
✍️ During the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing cooperation in metrology, standardization, conformity assessment, and staff capacity building, as well as future plans in these areas.
📈 In particular, the current status of key and supplementary comparison projects implemented within the framework of the Eurasian Cooperation of State Metrology Institutions (COOMET) and proposals to accelerate these projects were reviewed.

🌎 Additionally, information was presented on the outcomes of the XI International Contest “COOMET’s Best Young Metrologist,” recently hosted by Uzbekistan, and the successful participation of young metrologists from both Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation was especially highlighted.
📇 In accordance with the agenda, a Handover Certificate was signed for the transfer of measuring instruments manufactured in Russia to the Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute, based on the Agreement on Technical Assistance in the Field of Metrology between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Russian Federation. A handover ceremony of the measuring instruments was also held.
⚖️ At the conclusion of the event, representatives of Rosstandart were given a close introduction to the newly established laboratories of the Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute.
