✅ The 22nd meeting of the technical committee 1.5 – “Length and Angle” is currently underway at the National Metrology Institute of Uzbekistan (UzNIM) (https://nim.uz/), organized within the framework of the Euro-Asian Cooperation of National Metrology Institutions (COOMET) (https://coomet.info/).
✅ This international meeting, initiated by UzNIM, is being attended by delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, as well as specialists from the Institute.
✅ Additionally, representatives from national metrology institutes of other COOMET member countries are actively participating online.
✅ During the event, discussions are focused on exchanging international experiences in measuring length and angle, developing the national standards base, and organizing international comparisons.
✅ The committee meeting also includes practical proposals to further strengthen cooperation among COOMET member states, harmonize measuring instruments, and ensure internationally recognized measurement results.
✅ Holding this technical committee meeting in our country provides us with the following opportunities:
- To participate more actively and intensely in international comparisons and to adopt advanced practices;
- To propose new comparison works and promote joint initiatives;
- To finalize the expert review process for length comparison results and propose new comparison projects for the angle direction;
- To further enhance UzNIM’s position on the international stage and promote the Institute’s activities on a wider scale.
