🔄 From November 11 to 13, 2025, Tashkent is hosting the 11th International Competition “COOMET’s Best Young Metrologist”, held within the framework of the Euro-Asian Cooperation of State Metrology Institutions (COOMET) (https://coomet.info/).
The event is jointly organized by the Uzbekistan National Institute of Metrology under the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation and the COOMET TC 4 “Information and Training” Technical Committee.
✅ The main goal of the competition is to expand the participation of young metrologists in the international scientific community, recognize their research achievements, and promote experience exchange among COOMET member countries.
🔄 In addition, the competition aims to:
✅ increase the activity of young specialists in international and regional cooperation;
✅ encourage young metrologists who have achieved significant scientific results;
✅ promote the study and application of advanced technologies in metrology;
✅ strengthen scientific and technical cooperation among COOMET member states.
✍️ Based on the results of the competition, winners will be awarded special prizes and cash awards by the COOMET President.
Special nominations such as “Best Presentation in English,” “Best Work in Scientific Metrology,” and “Best Work in Applied Metrology” will also be announced.

🌎 The competition jury consists of 15 experts from COOMET member countries who will evaluate the participants’ works.
A total of 16 participants are competing this year, representing Azerbaijan (2), Belarus (1), Kazakhstan (2), Russia (5), and Uzbekistan (5).
📍 From Uzbekistan, participants represent the Tashkent State Technical University (1), Andijan State Technical University (2), and the Uzbekistan National Institute of Metrology (2).
❕This is the first time that the prestigious COOMET competition is being held in Uzbekistan.
