
The Director of the Uzbekistan Agency for Technical Regulation, A. Jumanazarov, familiarized himself with the new standards (etalons) introduced at the Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute (UzNMI) within the framework of the state program, along with the specialized infrastructure created for them.
The training process for specialists who will work with these standards was also reviewed. During the visit, views were exchanged with foreign experts who participated in the commissioning of the standards.
Currently, 39 standards (etalons) and primary laboratories are operational at UzNMI. The recently commissioned new standards for level, degree – plane angle unit, electricity and magnetism, and humidity mark an important step in developing the system of accurate measurements in our country. These standards will ensure metrological traceability for equipment used in water management, construction, mechanical engineering, food, pharmaceutical, agriculture, energy, and chemical industries.

During the visit, the Director issued a number of instructions regarding:
Introducing new calibration services,
Creating a system for transferring precise measurements to the industry,
Actively participating in international comparison projects,
Enhancing the qualifications of staff.
