✅ An employee of the Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute (https://nim.uz/) participated in the “Workshop for radiation metrologists on calibration of dosimeters for X-ray imaging dosimetry” international seminar in Athens, Greece. The event was organized within the framework of the EURAMET TraMeXI (https://tramexi.com/) project and was dedicated to the calibration of dosimeters in the field of diagnostic radiology.
✅ The seminar focused on enhancing the knowledge and practical skills of specialists from calibration laboratories in diagnostic radiology. It covered new measurement methods, calibration processes, and the application of various testing procedures for dosimeters. These developments will expand the capabilities for calibrating diagnostic dosimeters and increase their accuracy, which in turn will improve patient safety.
✅ Participation in such international events allows institute staff to strengthen their professional expertise, exchange experiences with specialists from various countries, and introduce advanced practices into the national system of radiation metrology. It is worth noting that the costs of this training and practical seminar were covered by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) (https://www.ptb.de/cms/en.html) of Germany.
