Since March of this year, the Time and Frequency Laboratory (Department 05) of the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology has become a full member of the International Atomic Time Group (TAI) of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), and has received international recognition.
As of March 2024, BIPM TAI has 90 laboratories from 69 countries participating in the formation of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as members. The Time and Frequency Laboratory of the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology became the 90th member of BIPM TAI ( https://webtai.bipm.org/database/showlab.html ).
The laboratory has also begun to participate in key comparisons CCTF-K001.UTC, which are conducted on an ongoing basis by the BIPM Time and Frequency Advisory Committee (CCTF) (https://www.bipm.org/kcdb/comparison?id=735). In its turn, it will ensure metrological traceability of the Time and Frequency Standard created at the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology and the standard measuring instruments available in the Time and Frequency Laboratory to the International System of Units (SI).
